Michael Gansch
Michael Gansch, M.A. European Studies; B.A. Tourism and Leisure Management, Project Manager at EuroVienna, graduated from the University of Applied Sciences IMC Krems in May 2011 with a degree in Tourism and Leisure Management and from the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland in May 2013 with a degree in European Studies. He has more than fifteen years of proven and relevant international professional experience with profound project management skills acquired in various projects in the fields of tourism, destination management, regional development, protected area management, education and digitalization. From 2008, Michael Gansch worked as a project employee at the regional destination management company Mostviertel Tourismus. He soon became project coordinator for three projects focusing on sustainable tourism development in the alpine part of the Mostviertel. In 2009, he coordinated an Austria-wide pilot project on the use of geographic information systems (GIS) for tourism purposes. In 2010, he took over responsibility for the management of the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park. He was responsible for a reorganization process as well as the acquisition and management of a EUR 4.8 million regional development programme for the municipalities of the nature park. The newly created Ötscher- Basis Wienerbruck Nature Park Center was awarded the 2015 Timber Construction Prize. Between 2015 and 2018, Michael Gansch managed the regional coordination for 13 municipalities of the EU rural development program LEADER. In 2018, he joined EuroVienna as a project manager and supported, for example, the City of Vienna in its digitalization project BRISE- Vienna (partially automated building permit procedure). Since 2015, Michael Gansch has been an external lecturer for EU project management at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. Together with the FH Campus Wien and the KDZ - Center for Public Administration Research, he has also developed a certificate course in EU project management.
